Day 13 Wild and Free at the Wild Food Café
Located in the bright and colourful Neal’s Yard in Convent Garden, The Wild Food Café is the perfect hideaway for vegetarian, vegans and health food lovers alike. Up on the first floor this small and humble café was a buzz with people on a Saturday evening. The picnic bench style tables and wood panel floors really add to the raw feeling of the place, perfectly matching their many raw food options.
There were so many delicious options on their Summer menu, including some amazing looking vegan burgers, However I wanted to keep room for one of their fabulous raw desserts, so I went for some hummus and sour dough bread and coconut water from a fresh young coconut. The hummus was so tasty, bursting with flavour and the coconut water was refreshing.
To finish off, even though I was already pretty full, I decided to go for their chocolate orange cheese cake. It was out of this world, better than any other cheesecake I have tried yet. It is hard to believe that it was vegan and gluten free. It just goes to show that you can indulge and be healthy at the same time. This is probably my new favourite place in London, I look forward to many more meals here and trying all the wonderful things on the menu.
