Wonderful Wanders: Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is a beautiful place to visit all year round in London. In the Autumn the leaves fall from the trees and dance across the square, in the Winter the Christmas tree towers high and if you’re lucky you’ll hear some carol singers as you sip your hot chocolate on the steps up to the National Gallery, and in the Spring and Summer as the sun comes out and the days get longer it is the perfect places to sit and take in London.
Trafalgar Square is an extremely popular tourist spot, so don’t be surprised to find masses of people descending upon it with their matching bag packs and tour guide in front. However this never deters me from visiting time and time again, because this in itself makes it the perfect place for a spot of people watching.
The art of London is not confined in the walls of the National Gallery, in fact just outside on it’s steps many street artists share their talents and opinions, just be sure to visit before it rains and washes these masterpieces away.
I love sitting by the fountains, as does everyone; they are the main feature of this beautiful square and sets it apart from others in London. Plus, who doesn’t love the relaxing sound of water falling in a fountain to wash your worries away.
