Circus Love; Trapeze Bar & Club

Happy Friday! I’m so glad the weekend is upon us again, it’s been another crazy busy week for me and I’m looking forward to a little be of relaxation on the couch, with the new season of Orange is the New Black on Netflix!

However, if you’re in the mood for something a little bit more exciting this weekend, as I was last weekend, Trapeze Bar and Kitchen is the place to head for something a little bit different and a lot of fun!

The first time I visited Trapeze I instantly fell in love with the circus themed bar and club; the ceiling is covered in ropes and swings, the tables are like bumper cars at a fun fair. The quirky circus love theme was inspired by a local school for acrobats and trapeze artists, and it’s more than just a few themed decorations, everything from the drinks to the staff are bubbling with life and fun.

Last Saturday myself and Giovanni went (yet again) to get an injection of fun in our lives; we always come away from Trapeze feeling full of energy (and also cocktails). We got there early enough to get some finger food from the kitchen, loaded nachos with cream cheese, salsa and avocado; however we didn’t get there early enough for Happy Hour with runs from 5pm until 8pm and offers £2.50 beers, £5 cocktails and more. However, if you do miss Happy Hour, keep an eye out on the streets on your way in for Trapeze staff with vouchers for 2 for 1 drinks until 10pm (you can use each voucher once).

When it comes to music and entertainment, Trapeze has a lot to offer and not just at the weekends either, with everything from pub quizzes to game of throne theme nights as well as your usual DJ and pop music in the Bar.

Downstairs the basement offers a range of genres and DJs to suit every taste so be sure to check their website to see what’s on before you plan your night.
